Project: K2SB Zine – Design & Collaborative Art Direction
Creating zines has always been one of my favorite design outlets. Unlike traditional brand collateral, zines allow for complete creative freedom—there are no rigid rules, and expectations are intentionally low, which creates space for experimentation and bold ideas. This freedom often results in unexpected, standout pieces within a campaign.
This particular zine was developed for K2’s Road Rage campaign. Over the course of two weeks, we packed ten team riders into two RVs for a cross-country road trip, documenting every moment along the way. The design reflects the unpredictable, free-spirited nature of the journey: spreads were intentionally composed with a sense of randomness and spontaneity, echoing the unscripted detours and experiences of the trip itself.
The result was a visually raw and energetic piece that captured the essence of the campaign—authentic, adventurous, and a little chaotic. Below is a small selection of spreads showcasing this unique storytelling approach.
